New Black Kids Clip

In one of the biggest anti-climaxes of last year, Black Kids got super-hyped by Pitchfork and indie d-bags decided to call bullshit in response and the whole thing went nuclear. Then went epicly quiet. Weird.
Anyway, this particular element of BW is a bit of a Black Kids freak and is pretty excited about the soon-to-be-released debut album Partie Traumatic (allegedly, mid-July). This is the new video for Hurricane Jane, and in further deluxe news, the album will apparently feature remixes by perennial BW favourites MGMT and The Twelves, the latter of which might have been featured on BW at the start of the month. Bring on the fire.

Iglu & Hartly - In This City

I'm gonna keep this brief as I've got some Guitar Hero to play and an eye fillet to eat but here goes...

Big ups to my main mang Zane for this track. He filled our ears with some MGMT goodness earlier on this year and he's done it again, giving some airtime to this quintet from LA. Delightfully uplifting and jam-packed with cheesy goodness, their break through track, In This City is definitely worth checking out, if not for the semi acapella at the end. It may not be everybody's cup of tea but you know, I'm sure they're not out to make friends...

MGMT

MGMT is not a band I know much about. They play some sort of bizarre psychedelic pop rock which melted my room mates brain when I gave their debut album 'Oracular Spectacular' a spin the other day. They have opened for Of Montreal, worked with the Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann and they dress like Burning Man attendees. I'm not sold on the whole album yet but the track Kids is amazing, it's haunting lyrics and woozy melody won't leave my head. Hear it for yourself below.
