Quiet Village is the kind of random shit that I love. It's not the kind of thing you can listen too all the time but when it is done right it really shines. Comprised of Joel Martin and Matt Edwards (known to many as Radio Slave) their sound is reminiscent of Boards of Canada or Bent, and works by layering soundscapes with a variety of instruments and samples. Everything from crashing waves to bluesy guitars, or snaking piano melodies can found on their debut album 'Silent Movie'. I have posted one of the standouts below but it really is an album best consumed as a whole.
